Dirk Koester, a
cognitive neuroscientist with a background in psychology set up and is in
charge of the Cognition EEG-lab in the Neurocognition and
Action - Biomechanics Research Group at Bielefeld University, Germany.
The research in the Cognition EEG-lab focuses on the brain functions
underlying action perception, representation and control. Furthermore, interactions
with other congitive functions as language and attention are investigated.
A recent addition is a project on human human-interaction in (joint) task execution.
|
The projects are coordinated with
cognitive and biomechanic measurements in other labs of
the Neurocognition and Action Group and in
cooperation with the Excellence cluster Cognitive Interaction
Technology (CITEC).The joint purpose is to foster our
understanding of human cognition and action control. Such
knowledge is also relevant for applied settings as in sport
